Damage INC have successfully secured third place at IEM5 America following their 2-0 victory over desire 2 excel. Starting out on de_tuscan as CT, d2x initiated by claiming the initial three rounds, but were shortly after countered by their American opponents in DINC, who quickly equalized the two sides. However, the latter could not keep their pace up for the rounds to come, as d2x fended them off and closed the first half to 9-6. Switching sides, DINC immediately equipped the steamroller boots and stomped d2x for seven consecutive rounds. A small hope was lit in d2x's favor, when the team managed to cop one round, but DINC made sure to squelch it completely and ultimately sealed the deal at 16-10. Moving onto de_dust2, d2x once again stamped the three initial rounds as their own, but DINC made sure to counterplay their streak. DINC remained firm throughout the remaining time, but witnessed the loss of three rounds before the scoreboard displayed a 9-6 lead to their advantage. Swapping sides, it was now DINC's turn to come out the brightest, and the team immediately took control of their contenders. DINC literally raced to the glorious number of 16, leaving d2x behind with the score of 8. IEM5 American Championship FinalsBest of 0 DINC's performance at the IEM5 American Championship will be awarded with $3,300, while d2x's fourth-place finish has earned them $1,800. |
